Stress test (exercise ECG)
A simplified check of how your heart performs during physical activity.
Why is it done?
The patient walks or cycles on an exercise bike (with gradually increasing intensity), while the following are measured:
• Heart electrical activity (ECG)
• Blood pressure and pulse
Helps detect cardiovascular problems that may not be visible at rest. Assesses physical endurance and fitness. Typically recommended when heart disease is suspected or symptoms occur during exertion (e.g. chest pain, shortness of breath).
Optometrist visit
• Vision check
• Refraction and reading addition
• Eye pressure and fundus examination
