Under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, employers are required to arrange employee health check-ups when working conditions may affect employee health.
Health check-up deadlines:
- Upon starting employment — the check-up must be completed within 4 months
- During employment — at least every 3 years (or more frequently if the occupational health physician decides otherwise)
The content and frequency of health check-ups are determined on the basis of the workplace risk assessment and identified hazards.
